this recipe was given to us by an Instagram follower @rose.kitchen.chronicles who has the most delicious looking vegan recipes! this uses our pistachios and pistachio paste, and is a great healthier alternative to chocolate if you are looking to cut back your sugar intake. if you want a slightly sweeter recipe, you can add some stevia drops or vanilla extract to taste!

A BIT ABOUT CACAO
-boosts serotonin!
-way more nutritious than processed cocoa
-packed with antioxidants, magnesium, calcium & iron

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup pure cacao drops (you can also use dark chocolate for a slightly sweeter chocolate)
  • 50g chopped Zeina pistachios
  • 2 tbsp Zeina pistachio butter
  • 2 tbsp cacao butter

Method

– first melt the cacao drops with half of the cacao butter, either on the stove in a bain-marie or by microwaving in 30 second increments
-then melt the other half of the cacao butter and mix together with the pistachio butter until smooth
-pour the melted cacao drops and butter mixture into silicone moulds
-gently spoon the pistachio / cacao butter mixture into the mould
-swirl the mixture together to achieve desired effect
-top with chopped Zeina pistachios
-place in freezer for 20-30 minutes, then remove from mould or break into chunks
-store in fridge or freezer, depending on how hard you prefer the pistachio bark
